Traffic violations occurring in CIP

TO: CLEAN Members and Associates

FROM: GERRY ASATO, LIEUTENANT, HPD DISTRICT 8 (KAPOLEI)

In recent days HPD have received numerous traffic complaints on Kalaeloa Blvd and Hanua St. Many of the complaints refer to the many parking violations on Kalaeloa Blvd and Hanua St.

Kalaeloa Blvd and Hanua St are ‘no parking-anytime’ zones 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Many truckers are parking there to purchase food from the numerous lunch wagons and committing violations themselves.

HPD has sent a warning to these lunch wagon vendors and informed them of the no parking zone violation. It has been recommended that they park on the side streets to avoid citations. I ask that you share this with your employees to eliminate other parking violations from occurring on Kalaeloa Blvd and Hanua St.

We are concerned about traffic safety and ask for your cooperation in getting the word out.
